Absolutely loved The Richmond… from the warm welcome, attentive service, elegant decor and best of all the oyster happy hour!! In the evenings The Richmond gets very busy and booking is advised… it was a few weeks ago I went for the first time and returned for oyster happy hour last week. If you can make it for the oysters then I highly recommend them. I stopped here for a cheeky little snack on a sunny Friday evening. Really need to come back in a bigger group as naturally tapas are made for sharing and a lot of things on the menu looked very tempting. I had to excercise restraint in only ordering 2 dishes as I had a dinner booked in a couple of hours. I opted for the Padron Peppers and Calamari. I knew from an earlier visit to a Spanish delicatessan that the peppers were in season so felt compelled to order them and they didn’t disappoint. Very nice indeed. Friendly staff make you feel welcome as soon as you step through the door. I’m here at an odd hour between lunch and dinner but thankfully the kitchen stays open right through. I love the mix of people from all age groups (in prams to white hair) and all genders and some 4-legged customers too. Great selection of beers on tap from local breweries to something looking like its from Hawaii.
