Escocesa means Spanish in English. I looked it up on their site and thought it was quite clever 🙂 I lost track of the rest of the story but essentially I think we’re eating a fusion of Scottish and Spanish tapas. Or probably more accurately Scottish seafood prepared in a Spanish way so not fusion-ey as the name initially implied… but maybe that’s a good thing! Curio Cabal + TA TA Eatery

I’m giving Curio Cabal quite a solid rating here which I think is highly justified by the amazing food offered by TA TA here. As I understand it started out as a sort of pop-up residency within this coffeeshop but has now gone permanent (Wednesday to Saturday evenings) for which I’m ever greatful. I believe there are also plans to serve lunch too. “Ta Ta” meaning he and she in Mandarin is run by Zijun Meng and Ana Gonçalves who both worked with Nuno Mendes at Viajante and Chiltern Firehouse.
