The Quality Chop House is a restaurant and butcher on Farringdon Road. We chose to dine here because we were a couple of weeks into game season and I was dying to eat grouse somewhere. The restaurant sits in a 19th Century Grade II listed building and is still configured in it's original design. The menu is predominantly British, locally sourced and sustainable.
The menu changes daily so I'm kicking myself a bit for not writing this within a reasonable timeframe as I can't go back to decode my blurry pictures! I know I ate the grouse and a friend had the T-bone, the rest are a bit of a mystery now. The grouse tasted amazing and served with game trimmings. Surprise of the meal however was the olive oil ice-cream. I was really not convinced but tried it nonetheless and surprisingly it worked really well. Miso satisfied.
