Escocesa

Escocesa means Spanish in English. I looked it up on their site and thought it was quite clever 🙂 I lost track of the rest of the story but essentially I think we're eating a fusion of Scottish and Spanish tapas. Or probably more accurately Scottish seafood prepared in a Spanish way so not fusion-ey as the name initially implied... but maybe that's a good thing! We're a group of 4 and I manage to get left in charge to order for the table... Miso favourite task! I feel particularly in the mood for oysters, pan con tomate (a new favourite), octopus, squid, prawns and a salad of figs with manchego. Sadly nothing really had the wow factor out of all of that. My top dish was probably the very simple Pan con Tomate which is a shame as I think I was supposed to be wowed by the seafood. I'd surely give it another chance though and hear they do a bit of a paella feast on a Sunday afternoon. Miso back for paella!
